CONSENT LED,  TRAUMA AWARE, TRANS, QUEER & SEX WORKER INCLUSIVE

manna - bodyworker & community weaver

Hey beautiful folks!

I am a working class queer femme born in London of Korean, French, Indian & Eastern European Jewish heritage. I come to my bodywork practice from climate & migrant justice activism background.

I offer restorative deep tissue massage and specialize in scar healing for post transmasculine top surgery as well as pelvic surgeries including C-Sections.

When I’m not in the studio you can find me learning about herbalism, somatics and Korean land based spiritual practices and FROLICKING in the wilderness.

Currently my community weaving includes building with the Trans Scar Care Collective, Montreal Queer Bodyworkers, co-organising Montreal Community Healing Days and co-hosting the occasional queer asian potluck.

manna has a sharp and delicate intuition for what the body needs. she is attentive, open and clearly dedicated to the holistic nature of her work. my experience with her was amazing, she made me feel comfortable immediately and guided me through the process collaboratively and with continuous consent. i would recommend manna to anyone who is seeking to learn the language of their body again. if you’re looking for how to retune yourself to your bodies rhythms and sensitivities, manna is deeply gifted at facilitating this process with you. i’ll definitely be coming back again!

  • PRIYA - GENETIC COUNSELLOR

“As a queer woman who carries trauma, I am so grateful for the work Manna does. Her extensive knowledge and communication process has always helped me feel safe with her. Her knowledge of trauma not only lets me know my body is safe with her, but she has been able to release some of that. For example, when working on particular areas, she knows where to be more gentle and not push my body. I have experienced an amazing transformation in the way that I breathe which has had a cascade effect of releasing trauma and helping my body process it outside of the session too. I have found Manna’s trauma centred approach let’s me feel safe and therefore able to process the trauma she can release with her massage.”

  • HERA - MIGRANT CONECTIONS FESTIVAL

“For most of my life, I’ve lived with pain. And, inevitably, it has often shaped how I’ve participated in social justice activities - usually confining me to online or desk-based work. But thanks to Manna I was able to participate with my mind and body at this year’s Migrant Connections Festival. Just when I felt the pain creeping in and slowing me down, Marianna helped me control it and massaged me into a serene and pain-free realm where I could give everything to organising and enjoying a day of creativity and friendship. I know I wouldn’t have got through the festival without her healing hands.”

  • Camille Barton - Collective Liberation Project

"Having worked with Manna on numerous occasions, I am continually impressed by her intuitive and caring touch, professionalism and deep knowledge of the body. As a Queer person of the global majority, I feel safe working with Manna as I know she understands that my lived experience relates to some of the trauma and tension I hold in my body. Manna is an incredibly kind, skilled and attentive practitioner".
